We are excited to announce a new class (and new instructor!) on deck for the winter season.
"What is Fascism?" is a class that critically explores the origins, influence, and philosophy of fascism. While the average joe would likely feel that they could identify a fascist regime or a fascist leader, many would be pressed to come up with an airtight definition of fascism in and of itself. And they wouldn't be alone-- many scholars of fascism lament their inability to secure a consistent definition that accurately applies to known fascist regimes in history. Through an investigation of primary sources from Japan, Italy, Germany, and Spain, this course led by historian M. Wright will attempt, in concert with the class, to answer the question: What is fascism?
